Van Helsing is still a goated watch. Corny in the best ways, Hugh Jackman rocks the witchhunter leather well, and Dracula looks like a member of MCR

My last Spooktober game.
Daemonologie has you play as a witchhunter sent to a small village to conduct a short investigation. Frictionless due to its length & simplicity, it's heavily carried by its striking art style, and very easy to recommend if you're into weird stuff.

The entirely expected thing happened entirely as we expected.
I cackled like a witch watching the witchhunter set his own breeches on fire.

So in a perfect world, these endless investigations over nothing could be written about ad nauseam and the result would be for the reader to go "Oh dear, oh gross, we have to help get these witchhunters out of power," but since that isn't where we live, it functions as pro-witchhunter propaganda

I would say the whys and wherefores altogether pale into insignificance against the wider chiller effect the case has had on black academics. And I've had interactions with one of witchhunter generals who I am virtually certain has not lost sleep over what happened

Picked up a couple of these blind boxes from element games yesterday.
Managed to get the 'secret' witchhunter character in one of them with the other being the wildercorp hunter character.

UPDATE: Y'all, the Witchhunter played Kay in a 1975 King Arthur TV show. Sir, had I known, I would have had an entirely different tenor of jokes

I admit part of my entertainment came from the fact that the Inquisitor looked just like Mickey Dolenz from the Monkees and his sidekick the Witchhunter was just a straight-up understudy from Godspell. Forget Jesus and start a band, guys, you'll be happier

The depiction of the witchhunter as an anachronistic, hysterical rock star is, I think, really smart, because it underscores how *modern* and new these sorts of witch/ possession hysterias were at the time

I mean Robin uses Witchcraft to fight Witches. She's basically a witchy paradox.

Witch Hunter Robin
I knew there'd be more thoughts. 🤔
I can see why people were so keen to get some of the cut parts put back in. By doing that you get a chasmous contrast between the rabid frenzy being whipped up by the witchhunter & politicians, vs the simple reverance of a priest at worship.
Can also see why...
