Dude! Visited the Petäjävesi Old Church, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It’s a wooden church from the 1700s that has not burned down. “All the others burned down, for one reason or another,” our guide informed us resignedly.
A really spectacular old wooden church.

House of a proud Norwegian Christmas witch. Low key, and with few of the standard markers of the witchy house, but the garden, the slope, and the color scheme give it away. Breistein, Norway. #witchyskeet
On a green sloping hillside, with many lovingly tended bushes, a modest one-and-a half level house painted forest green, with red trim around the windows and doors. The roof is black, and there's a flagpole in front with the Norwegian flag.

An end-of-terrace red brick house, very modest and cosy. One curved window and a door on the ground floor, with pale bricks in stripes above, and two pale racing stripes along the front. Above is a dark gray, flat snakeskin roof, with two dormer windows. The neighbors to the left, similarly configured but mostly obscured by greenery, is pink with brown trim and a silvery gray roof. Both are most adorable.

Under moody skies, a street on a hill that curves up to the right. Behind low, stepped stone walls and mismatched shrubbery are four long white stucco houses with triangular frontages. They each have a six-paneled window under the eaves, and a curved fifteen panel window protruding beneath. No doors are visible.

A green treed landscape, with a green lawn and shrubs. Blue sky above a large workshop-like barn structure made of caramel colored wood, with a wood shake roof. The long side is turned toward us, and has three butterscotch half doors or shutters, all closed. Above are two open dormers protruding from the roof like eyes, and between them is a small, narrow bell tower made of red brick. The third of the building on the right side is right open, with the roof held up by wooden pillars. The three pillars on the outside have red brick bases and have a low fence built between them. It's quite a lovely structure.

Under tall trees and a blue sky, a bright yellow house with a multiple-peaked roof. It's extremely inviting. The windows are trimmed in white, with narrow brown decorative shutters on the three leftmost windows. There's also an eyebrow-shaped porch over the brown door. The live roof peaks are all different heights, and roof is brown. On the right, there's a six-sided roof over a single-storey ground floor room which would be a turret if it were higher. Everything here is utterly adorable and I desire this house with all my acquisitive heart.

A two-level, red brick cottage with a thick thatched roof. Larger brick houses in the background. Picturesque as fuck my friends A ridiculously bright sherbet colored living room with orange walls, orange ceiling with brown beams, wood floor, comfy couches in orange, purple, and yellow. A peachy pink stucco house with a terracotta tile roof made of rounded clay half-tubes. A huge palm tree sits in the yard to the left, behind a grey concrete fence with large open arches topped by crenelations. The roof has many angles, and the large shuttered windows seem big as doors, with no balconies below so it looks like the residents step out onto thin air.

Facing onto a corner, bordered by low hedges and dome-pruned trees, a neo-gothic duplex penetrated by an arched gateway. The gates are ajar, but it doesn't look inviting because of the three sharply pointed gothic steeples above, framed by four cylindrical chimneys and two pointed rooftops. Gingerbread everywhere, but all in the same brown as the brick walls, so it all comes off rather dour. I adore it.

Bookended between two neighbours, a sky blue, two level row house with two large, arched windows on the upper level. The windows are bounced by small, solid Juliet balconies, and white drapes are visible inside. On each balcony is three white triangle designs pointing skyward, and this design is repeated on the edge of the roof. The concrete yard is bounded by blue concrete fences on either side, and a metal fence facing the road. A few bushes partially obscure the large, rectangular window on the main floor, which has white blinds. The doorway is recessed, with grey rock within which is set a black door with two tall, columnar windows.

Green hills and blue sky in the background with snowy clouds just barely poking above the horizon. A tiny white, stucco, one-and-a-half level castle built on the scale of a cottage, with a square turret in front. Terracotta tiles cover the many witch-hat peaks on the roof.

Under a moody sky, flanked by tall green trees, a small white stucco church, very symmetrical. A bell tower rises above the door, topped by a sharp, witch-hat shaped form. There's a strip of light brown paint along the foundation, two shadowed window-like forms under the roof, which don't seem to have windows in them. Above the brown, central door is a mud-brown awning (the same colour and material as the roof, which seems to be metal). The awning is reminiscent of a moustache. Unlike the main roof, the roof of the tower is dull mid-green.

A large, red brick, thatched cottage enclosed behind a low, variegated brick wall. The house looks as though it's either new, or very newly renovated. The windows are very regular, and modern, with black frames. The second level windows are partially hidden under the thatched roof, which in contrast with the rest of the house, is mishapen, the edges rather higgledy-piggledy, and on the far right side of the house, extends like a tongue nearly down to ground level.
