Goethe suggests that the way wetreat othershas a profound impact on theirgrowthandpotential. Bybelievingin someone’scapabilitiesand treating them withrespect, trust, andexpectation, we help them see their own potential. When people are treated with the belief that they can bebetter, they are more likely to rise to thatexpectationand fulfill their potential. This principle reflects the power ofpositive reinforcement, supportive leadership, andconstructive encouragement. Rather than focusing on someone’scurrent flawsor limitations, treating them as the best version of themselves helps themgrowinto that ideal.
