#wol:liokki For now, he's staying SGE. I might consider Bastion depending on gameplay and the story I want for him.

What is your WoL's Evercold class? Are they being a new class, or returning to an old one? Are you waiting for more details about the new ranged and the new class system?
Will it change between normal and post-game content (extremes, raids, etc)?

#wol:kayda F!Au Ra max height, she still thinks she's too small 🥲
#wol:baltu Almost min height M!Au Ra. He's fine with it, being too tall feels intimidating.
#wol:liokki Almost max height M!Viera (not counting ears). He's a bit taller than Eren, but if we count the ears, they're basically even 😂

#wol:liokki Though a SGE now, he's more known as a MCH, so I imagine him doing a demonstration showing off the cool robots he has designed himself!

A #wolqotd for you.
Word has spread of your WoL/OC's expertise in their role or job.
As a result, they've been requested to hold a demonstration at the guild or place they first learned their skills at.
What happens? Are there any familiar faces? How do they feel on the day?

#wol:kayda #wol:liokki They both look at people's face/general direction. They will only look straight in your eye when things get serious, especially Kayda.
Bonus: Liokki's exceptional exception is Erenville. He's got lost in his eyes more times than he wants to recognize 🤭

#wolqotd - when it comes to making eye contact, where does your WoL/OC/NPC of choice tend to fall on the spectrum of “looking people in the eye is to be avoided at all costs” to “unsettlingly intense, holds it for too long”? When/why are there exceptions to their default, if there are any?

Kayda: Yes (answer 1). She enjoys challenging herself in battle and giving her all.
Liokki: No LOL (answer 3). He does like combat when his life and the fate of the star are not at stake, but he doesn't seek for battle. You can bet he got furious at Zenos's speech.

My WoLs are characters I made from scratch, but I may sprinkle fragments of myself and my experiences in game on them.
For example, Kayda's hesitation to try support roles in the past was based on my own fear.
I've adopted her name online just because I got used to be called like her 😅

Thinking about my OCs and I'm curious about something: is your FFXIV WoL/OC a self-insert? Why or why not? Do you prefer to self-insert, make characters from scratch, or somewhere in the middle?

#wol:kayda 25 -> 32

I'm going with the "1 year per expansion aprox" formula + one extra year between 6.0 and 6.1 to account for recovery after EW, learning their new jobs and, for Kayda, going through Eureka.

#wolqotd | flipping through that list of ffxiv NPC ages got me thinking: how old is your wol/oc in ARR? (and, bonus for those of us who hc the MSQ taking place over a variable # of years: how old is your oc by DT?)

#wol:kayda Her husband and her got turned into Lalafells once. They worked together to craft a rare remedy (yes, Fantasia) 😂
#wol:liokki During his time in Tural, one of his retainers was followed by a stray dog who wouldn't stop chewing her shoes. Liokki adopted the doggo and called him Chewy.

What's your favorite peace of fun/silly lore for your WoL/OC? Something that probably doesn't get brought up often, but its there, and everyone needs to know its there?

#wol:liokki He experienced 6.X from the back seat and let the others have the lead. His body and mind were still in the mending and SGE was new to him.

Thread for Kayda 🧵⬇️
#wol:kayda
1. Kayda Akai. She's my first character and I wanted to adhere to Raen name conventions, but I'm not sure if it really does 😅
The lore reason for "Kayda" instead of "Kaida" is that, as a refugee, she was registered with a spelling more suitable for Eorzean phonetics
