My current #Warhammer40k projects are complete. Say hello to the Wolfspears, a fleet-based successor chapter to the Space Wolves. I’ve got a whole other combat patrol to get to work on.

This particular group operates from the battle barge Grípralviðr, separated from the main fleet by a warp storm.

Experimented with snow a little bit for my Wolfspears in time for my first Space Wolves game in a few weeks 😮‍💨

I absolutely love to see some well painted Wolfspears. Every time I do it wears at my resolve to not start an additional army.

Also, the new Blood Claws kit is fantastic- I’ve got one that I’m slowly working on for my Wolfspears, though it’s slow-going due to work and my desire to kitbash some ladies into the mix. I love how much movement they have, save for the sergeant (below).

My camera does a very bad job of showing grey and white so it looks afar worse than it actually is, but I'm proud of my work on this new Rune Priest for my Wolfspears!

Grey Hunters are the mainstay of the Wolfspears’ battle line. Both versatile and durable, these Astartes can take and hold objectives under some of the most punishing circumstances.

Yoooo, let’s go! I recently picked up a couple of SW Combat Patrol boxes and a pack of jump pack intercessors that I’m painting up as Wolfspears!

Hounds of Morkai are in the same boat. All in all, I’m enjoying my Wolfspears. Ten battle-line Intercessors, a Lieutenant, and an Invictor battlesuit remain. Then I’ve got *another* Combat Patrol kit to work on.

This was an old Kill Team conversion project that I finally recently gave a coat of paint. Glad I did, because the Wolfspears are pretty cool guys.

Slowly but surely, this Wolfspears Stormwolf Gunship (Wolfwolf, etc, et al) is coming together. The top plate/cockpit area is probably the most detail-rich part and the blulk of the work. The trim is Runelord Brass trimmed in Canoptek Alloy.

Skyclaw intercessors with jump packs and assorted pistols and close combat equipment are a continuation of the Space Wolves’ traditional leanings toward melee prowess, coupled with the Wolfspears’ colder, more calculating nature.
