There’s no explanation, just work IDs and number. It’s not about the invisibilization of certain artists, or a reflection about collecting art, or about what is art itself. Just empty frames, most of them gilded, beautiful pieces of woodmanship.

As a long-ago English grad school dropout, I very much enjoyed this excellent review. On a personal level, I couldn’t help smiling at the Gascoigne’s Woodmanship gesture in your opening paragraph, and only just resisted the urge to deconstruct the criticism/creative writing opposing you suggest.
