There is a blur of tree leaves in the background. Note, this bird is gray colored, with no visible red coloring denoting its species. The Red will come later as they mature. From Allaboutbirds.org., The Red-bellied Woodpecker is a sleek, round-headed woodpecker, about the same size as a Hairy Woodpecker but without the blocky outlines.

There's two basic types (3 if you count the recently re-discovered, previously thought extinct ivory-billed), small ones the size of fat wrens that make a racket 50x their size and the Woody Woopecker pilated type, which are actually big as heck.
