The ambient lights cycled to morning purple, then orange, then up to the normal daytime lights, a supposedly well-researched tone supposed to remind one of sunlight without attempting to replicate it perfectly. --Momentum #wordgamewednesday

Wei Ying’s long hair is a mess, freed from the plaits and ribbons of his wedding garb and puffing out around his head in a tangle. His lips are temptingly swollen, his throat and chest marked with bruises left by Wangji’s mouth. Sunlight paints his naked chest in warm gold, rising and falling in a slow rhythm, the crimson blankets fallen around his waist.

The last few streaks of sunlight were starting to fade now.

Against the expanse of nightfall, Soji’s silhouette makes him look smaller than Toshizo remembers of him, a reminder that for all his brilliance, he still is just a child. Toshizo huffs despite himself. By and large, Soji annoys him, but he could never seem to remember why whenever he sees him like this—like he’s always so alone, perhaps even a little out of place. That maybe, just maybe he’s a little too talented, too sharp for his own good…

Zombie AU edition of the word game! A bit of ambiance (or something). #wordgamewednesday #wipwednesday
Inside, the dining room was mostly unscathed; only a few tables and chairs had been overturned, and a couple of place settings smashed on the carpet. It looked like an upscale establishment more in line with a city hotspot than a rural seaside town. Sunlight streamed in from skylight windows illuminating the room in patches and highlighting the layer of dust that coated everything.

text (the word 'sunlight' is highlighted twice): His hand had been gentle in mine, then suddenly tugging me along, then soft again. The trees had formed a small semi-circle in which he had led me, where only a few beams of sunlight had reached through the dense canopy so that we had finally been in the shade again. We had sat, catching our breaths and spending too much time stuck on the lines forming the other one’s face, both our eyes dipping—he had asked, then: “Do you ever pretend to be a beam of sunlight, on your path through the solar system? Sent on a way you don’t know, just waiting to see the world?” I hadn’t had an answer to that. Well, my answer had been “no”, but that seemed such a small and uncreative thing to say in return to such a beautiful thought.

The afternoon light coming through the window caught at the silver in their hair, making them look angelic. I would never utter that thought aloud. My Fiona was Jewish, though they hadn’t been to a synagogue since they were in their twenties. My Fiona. #WordGameWednesday

Checking this long fic, I've only got 2 uses of sunlight and they're both in reference to this character's room. One for how he imagines it to be and one how it ends up being. Thanks for setting that up for me, subconscious lol
#wordgamewednesday #WIPWednesday
A screenshot of text that reads: He’d have a beautiful bedroom with the finest mattress money could buy and thousand thread-count sheets. Automatic blinds would give him just the right amount of sunlight. There’d be a pool right outside with crystal blue water at the perfect temperature. “Sounds like heaven on Earth, right boss?” he had cheekily asked Bargello. The word sunlight is colored yellow.

"Ah, nevermind me," Nie Huaisang tried to change the topic then, looking away and fanning his fan like a shield to protect himself from the outside world. "I don't know what I'm talking about." "Aiyah, no, no, Nie-xiong, I'm just— surprised, is all!" Wei Wuxian quickly tried to amend. Nie Huaisang offered him a glance. "I— Are— you sure? About, like… what would we even do…?" "Kiss," Nie Huaisang's mouth suggested before his brain gave permission, and he felt himself grow hot with surprised embarrassment. "If that's. What you want." "Yeah," Wei Wuxian rushed out nearly breathlessly, before Nie Huaisang got to doubt himself any more. He felt his flush grow and his stomach flutter, turned to face Wei Wuxian once again to watch him agree. "Yea, okay. Let's, uh— kiss." Was this really happening? Wei Wuxian was staring at him with wide eyes, the barest flush visible in the dimming sunset's light. He looked… nervous, perhaps. A little lost. But not… unwilling. Not pressured or uncertain.

Bit rough but I'm making it exist first
Text stating "Although being ditched upset him, Silvein’s anger abated at the sight of food and water. Like Will he was, after all, left outside without food and water for a whole afternoon. He gladly accepted the flask of water and bread."

Saying something about getting out of it. What was it… ‘The internet’s a powder keg waiting to blow’, I think.” The word upset is colored yellow.

From ch33, coming Halloween!! ^__^ #wordgamewednesday #ocs
It's not too late to change your mind. Vik can be disappointed; Delia can be mad. Mr. Berkman can spend his Halloween smiling, and you can be right there beside him. Just stop acting like a coward and— "Tanya?" Mr. Berkman's gentle voice reaches across the table to draw her guilt-ridden gaze back to his face. "Has something been upsetting you? You don't have to tell me, just know I'm always here to listen."

But why? And for what? He never liked Soji. Never liked the way he looks at him, not even when he’s smiling because it’s never for anything good. Even now, Soji is glaring at him, as if Toshizo had ever done anything today except to lose to him. So what is it? What is it about losing him that upsets him? “What?” Toshizo snaps. An adult picking a fight with a child, and so what?

For Tuesday's "outsider pov" prompt. A #Sk8theInfinity fic from an OC's perspective about Langa's situationship with another OC.

Very self indulgent but still. ..

#allshipsweek #ficwip #wordgamewednesday

Reposted with the right hashtags this time. 🤣🤣
Chris also wanted to point out that maybe Langa had just wanted to talk and wanted an excuse. But he couldn't imagine them needing an excuse at this point to talk to each other. They'd at least been in this weird "we're not dating we're just friends" thing for awhile now. He also figured Nick could work that out on his own. Nick wasn't stupid and knew Langa better than that.
