Only criticism is that my new tent is a touch too small, otherwise a good time was had on Worimi Country.

Ah, thats blak as in first nations Australia. My cousins are Worimi and Torres Strait Islander so I want to learn more about their culture.

So, I guess this is for the Aussies. Sorry, I didn't make that clear 😅😅😅
I gotta read more blak authors.

I prefer Audiobooks for pronunciation, but any recs are good.

I really enjoyed the lore in Ghost Bird if that helps.

The #PeoplesBlockade takes place on stolen Awabakal & Worimi land.

We pay respect to elders past & present.

We acknowledge their sovereignty & resistance against the destructive forces of capitalism & colonialism which fuel the climate emergency.⁣

Always was, always will be Aboriginal Land.

First major stop Fingal Bay (Worimi Country) near Newcastle.

Amazing to see so many whales migrating. Constant spurts from blowholes visible from the headland.

Just shows we can markedly improve things is we stop actively making things worse.

Water warm enough to be 'tropical' for Ballarat kids.

Mary Ann Bugg (born 7 May 1834 near Gloucester, NSW) — a Worimi woman of mixed Indigenous and European descent — defied rigid 19th‑century expectations to emerge as one of Australia’s few documented female bushrangers.

Fun fact: I'm #Aboriginal - my mobs are Gamilaraay, Worimi, and Wonnarua, all in NSW.
Second fun fact: Hello in the language of my Gamilaraay ancestors is 'Yaama'.

So: Yaama Bluesky! #language
