I finished knitting my self designed Lamb Bag (it has a flat bottom). Now to make the lining for structure and add leather shoulder straps. 🧶 (Do you like my ancient yard stick?)

It's an eclectic batch: a couple of things from her great-grandmother's childhood (b. 1863), underclothes from her great-aunt's trousseau/wedding outfit (b. 1890s), a bonnet veil and workbag from her gr-grandmother's grandmother-in-law (b. 1776), and a chemisette from the latter's daughter (b. 1805)

You know what else is sewing-tastic in this episode? The red drawstring bag Lizzie takes to Netherfield isn't a reticule, or handbag. It's probably her workbag, containing her current sewing on to occupy her amongst company (it *could* be her indoor shoes, but sewing's better).

I challenge anyone to detail the full contents of their workbag, especially after being mugged. There are two parts to this story the idiocy of the police and that of Starmer in making this a resigning issue because of the RW press.
It's interesting that BBC News leads with the non-story of a Labour WOMAN who was mugged and then later found her work phone. They don't tell us about the Reform MAN who KICKED A WOMAN and was given a custodial sentence and didn't resign (and Reform didn't see a problem).
