It was chicken katsu curry 🇯🇵 🇬🇧 day at work, so a very nice #workscran to begin the week. I stopped eating it after the memorable ones I had in Tokyo last year, but have begun again. They’re not the same of course, chicken katsu curry is a British invention.

Luosifen 🇨🇳 “snail noodles”, Guangxi work-from-home #workscran. This is actually a snail-free (vegan) instant version. It’s been pimped up with fermented bamboo shoots, pickled mustard greens, tofu chips and a heck of a lot of chilli paste. I made the rice noodles chewy rather than soft.

Very pleasantly surprising Malaysian 🇲🇾 #workscran, roti canai (flatbread) with lentil dal curry, tamarind fish curry, pickled carrots, spiced cauliflower and rice underneath all that. So comforting and delicious.

Lamb stew, colcannon, charred hispi cabbage 🇮🇪 don’t get a lot of Irish #workscran, I must say. But it was perfect for a bloody cold day. Warm, soft pillowy mash, smoky veg and hot savoury stew, nothing better.

Ayam geprek, battered deep fried ‘flattened chicken’, and nasi goreng, fried rice, with salad, a fried egg and a lot of chilli sauce 🇮🇩. I love nasi goreng day at work, it’s one of my favourite #workscran.
