My Review: Swordheart begins the way that a LOT of T. Kingfisher’s fantasies seem to begin, with a woman coming to the unwelcome realization that the only way she’s going to get out of the trouble she has found herself in through absolutely no fault of her own is to put on her ‘big girl panties’ and deal with it.

My Review: I grabbed this one for two reasons. First and foremost, because I love T. Kingfisher’s work. Occasionally she writes something that isn’t quite my jam, but even then I love the characters she tells the story through. Second, I especially love her fantasy romances, particularly her Saint of Steel  series that begins with Paladin’s Grace, and Daggerbound’s immediate series predecessor, the marvelous Swordheart. Like Swordheart, Daggerbound begins with someone who seems to be a bit too naive for the world they are a part of - and a mercenary bound in a sword.
