#worldviews
Oh come on we can’t just deny the obvious because it’s convenient to our worldviews. It was ball lightning.
November 2, 2026 at 8:04 PM
yeah i think the “fundamentally different worldviews” thing is a lot of why this particular one is so maddening, because there’s a complete inability to understand the existence of the other position

Love this.

Technologies—not just AI*—bring with them the worldviews of their makers.
"A classroom should be a space for shared world-building not just knowledge-building, one in which a participatory culture is encouraged. But the LMS is a 'management system.' There is no participation except in the ways that which the software allows," writes Audrey Watters.

The very same people blithely saying they should be able to kill 50 people for the greater good of AI are the same people whining and weeping and gnashing their teeth when confronted by the mildest criticism of their choices and worldviews. How cavalier they are with others lives.
Anthropic thinks they should be able to kill 50 people at a time.

The question is, because we KNOW chodes ruin things that question their narrow worldviews, why do we still LET them....?
I frequently think of how good of a game Veilguard was and how good of a movie Supergirl was and how chodes ruin everything

One of Film Twitter’s greatest embarrassments among countless ones was the way they slobbered over the stupid and goonish ONCE UPON A TIME IN HOLLYWOOD because it flattered their increasingly ridiculous and reactionary worldviews.

when i talk about Retvrn to when out science fiction writers had worldviews That Contradict Each Other If You Think About It Just A Little, this is what im talking about
The great irony with Starship Troopers is that if you take Heinlein's later interviews seriously, that Service was just Public Service as opposed to military, he's basically just recreated a one party communist state.
verhoeven made a good movie but its best treated as an original story that borrows elements loosely from starship troopers

Tech bros are, like, physically and metaphysically unable to look beyond the myopic matrices of their own worldviews and see through to the material impact of their handiwork.

This makes them losers, in the literal sense.
So the rest of the world’s young, politically agitating population which uses Twitter for organizing is irrelevant TO Y’ALL.

Heard.
This election cycle has made one thing pretty clear: X is politically irrelevant.

They idolize him, but I think it's worth noting that they don't see him as the good guy.

They have incredibly contorted "being evil is good, actually" worldviews. For the guys like Luckey and Theil and Musk it helps justify being the creators of the tech that every sci-fi novel warns against.

instead of making sure autistic kids get treatment and support, adults would rather come up with mystical new age garbage like indigo children and old souls to patronize them and brainwash them into agents of the adults' own twisted worldviews

it's destabilizing to a lot of people's worldviews to think about how fascism actually happens, how far from a guarantee literally any stable future is, etc. "fascism because our broken constitution means our future is determined by a few idiots per state", they can't face that.

#ReligiousEducation is outdated, unpopular & opens the door to proselytising. There are many more subjects children need to learn. It's time to replace RE with something more appropriate for 21st century students. Join our campaign 👇 www.secularism.org.uk/21st-century... #Education
Rethink RE
We need a new subject to teach children about worldviews, citizenship and ethics.

It wouldn't surprise me if that was pretty much the truth!

They're so obsessed with their individual Worldviews that they don't think about the established norms they're so desperate to dismantle.

Are you hoping that your sarcasm will disguise your underlying prejudice?
No such luck.

I read through your feed & I realise our worldviews are so diametrically opposed, that any conversation with you that might bear any positive fruits would take years.

Llife's too short.

I wish you well. ☮️

More fuel for my theory that political worldviews slot in one-for-one for religion for many people, even when the politics in question are explicitly not supposed to
November 3, 2026 at 9:01 PM
But whyyyy? Why would these good Ivy League intellectual truth-seekers go to work just to inveigle and obfuscate? Because that is incumbent in ossified cloistered Hamptons fuckheads' worldviews and the beshitted system they lubricate every day. Here's how that works.

If you don't understand yourself, what you desire and represent, you don't understand what you are offering up to another.

I speak with Dommes often. I enjoy picking the brains of the insane, to piece together their alien worldviews.
November 1, 2026 at 9:44 PM
Stuff like this floors me. I am always so fascinated by people who marry each other seemingly without ever having had a single real, important conversation about their worldviews and who they are fundamentally as people.

Seriously feeling vindicated in my many disagreements with some of those folks who kept thinking they could just force people into their worldviews because apparently the rest of us are big dumb dumbs.
So many elite actors: politicians, reporters, institutions, still operate on X and have been cooking their brains since 2022 on a platform explicitly designed to amplify authoritarianism. A lot of the "mandate" talk was due to elites internalizing X propaganda. They were the ones in the echo chamber
National media is an elite White space that misses a lot of major stories that pertain to minority politics. Two stories that are massively under reported at the moment 1.) ICE will be Texas' Prop 187. The sleeping Latino Giant electorate has awakened 2.) Gutting the VRA upended Southern politics.

The "ass backwards" belt...the whole region suffers the most from the "three mile bubble" disease. Worldviews so compressed and warped.
November 3, 2026 at 3:40 AM
Used to be around people that were disgusted by the concept of being trans, and it delayed my own realizations about myself.

When I realized I'm trans, I learned to be louder about who I am, rather than hiding for the convenience of others shallow worldviews.
November 2, 2026 at 2:02 AM
i really dont get what anyone sees in this guy beyond validation for their shitty worldviews tbh, from what ive seen he just seems really annoying
November 1, 2026 at 6:53 PM
Nah, full cred to Robin DiAngelo for calling it White Fragility, and especially for the point that White people become threatened when they're not entitled to everyone protecting their shallow fucking worldviews from seeing the damage they benefit from.
November 4, 2026 at 10:41 PM
can be unlearned, it obviously must have been learned. Why do only “amab” children learn it? If it’s a simple matter of adolescent observation, is it not natural that some children “afab” not ingrain these ideas in their heads and incorporate that into their worldviews and, potentially, transitions?
