NT was quite powerful underneath at the kernel level, yet somehow managed to suck so bad at the userspace level.
WP7 was on top of CE hence why they cannot be upgraded to WP8 and that left a lot of sour taste to buyer

so should i just make a background service to handle Zune/WP7 connections on Linux that uses udev to kick in before KIO/GVFS gets a chance to get its grubby little mittens on my devices. i really don't want to make Linux services. i wish all of this shit could be done userland in a nice flapjack
