This is in my Notes app, I definitely wrote it!
…at 4:23am a few weeks ago, and have no memory of it
I apparently woke up, wrote it down, and went back to sleep

I DON’T DO SLAM POETRY
I HAVE NO RHYTHM AND CANNOT RAP
WHERE DID THIS COME FROM, BRAIN?? 😂🧠⁉️✨

A screenshot from my Notes app; white text on black background. The note features a rap/slam poetry rough draft I apparently woke up and wrote in a fugue state in the middle of the night. The note reads: “dear everybody’s moral compass / I think it’s time to start a rumpus / we cannot just sit here in silence / while progress is undone with violence / we’re expected to just fall in line / when they rewrite truth and roll back time? / are we gonna just take it in stride / while our taxes pay for genocide? / NeoNazis have flooded the floor / filling slave camps in El Salvador / now Mutant Registry for autistics / Israel kills kids with our bought ballistics / I don’t wanna die on this hill / but if they come for me, I guess I will / all those cops with tech and guns? / I wouldn’t make it on the run / can’t hide; I need my meds to stay alive / don’t we all deserve a chance to thrive? / the is no free land left to flee to / if you’re scared, yeah fam, me too / but if we all try to run away / who’ll be left stop, stand up, and say / “y’all, we gotta do something”? / we gotta do something / just fucking do something”
