One of the strongest memories I have of the pandemic is having people over to watch WW84 who loved the first one and worrying I couldn’t say anything critical about the movie or Gal Gadot
Then halfway through I turned around and saw them all looking confused and I said “this movie is fuckin dumb!”

WW84 biggest sin was that it was so goddamn boring. I'll watch and enjoy a bad movie if cool, funny shit is happening. But WW84 was the movie equivalent of a white bread, mayo and cucumber sandwich.

I'm still baffled by how bad WW84 was. It had all the same creative team as the first - still very good, imo - film and yet it turned out like...that.
People dunk on Gal Gadot, not unjustifiably, but she was well-utilised in the first movie - I think WW84 marked the turning point against her.
