Again, Kodi was originally XBMC, which was developed for the original Xbox. Plex budded off of that. The idea of a living room PC that’s actively pleasant to use by a normal person but doesn’t sand any edges off has been a weird holy grail for a long time.

I also had an xbmc server that lived under my TV stealing content like crazy cause I had a gig connection in my college apartment and that was basically unheard of.

No vais a enseñar a vuestro padre a hacer hijos.

"Officer, if you consult your training document you will see that this is a beaglebone black, which is totally permitted.
That? Oh that's a VIA EPIA Mini-ITX board. Also permitted! Yes, I agree it was slightly underpowered for an XBMC frontend in 2006.
& this is my cell phone"

I'm super excited for XBMC's upcoming release on Original Xbox. First major update to vanilla XBMC (non-4gamers) in nearly 10 years! Nikola is doing some fantastic work there.

Unironically the first Xbox was the best one because you could mod it and put XBMC on it.
It was very slick and usable for the era.

Was going through some consoles and found this. An OG Xbox that was modded with XBMC. It works fine, just missing the disc drive and plastic mount for the disc drive.
Anyone within the USA want it? I would probably let it go for the cost of shipping.
