I also made it up into the Gatineau Park (studded tires recommended on the fat bike trails). There's just enough snow to make it look reasonably wintry. XCski conditions looked quite good.

Today was #GatineauPark #XCski number 22 for @kathrynbarr.bsky.social & me. #Ski time is running out for us with +9°C and a lot of rain heading our way, so we are #skiing while we can! This was 10 km from P19 to Lusk Cabin for a picnic lunch by the wood stove. The hills were fast!

Our #XCski for today was 10 km from P16 to Healey and back.

This is the #Gatineau Loppet #ski race weekend and had calculated when they should have been out of our way on Trail 50, but assumed they would be racing at about 15 km/h, when most of them were slower than us

I suspect that this will be the last #XCski for a while as we have five days of freezing rain, melt and rain coming for #Ottawa.

This #ski with @kathrynbarr.bsky.social was from P19 in #Gatineau #Park to Lac Renaud and back for 8 km.

This was our first #Christmas Day together where we got out and went #skiing! We got up before 0600 hrs and headed out by 0730 hrs. There were skiers already at #Gatineau #Park, but it was far from busy and we even got into parking lot P10, which is rare!
