#xformerlyknownastwitter

Sorry I’m just off to XformerlyknownasTwitter for a couple of hours. I’m anticipating it’s going to be absolutely glorious over there just for a short while. Also, carnage.

Psychos? I don’t see anyone advocating for ethnic cleansing or genocide or just being blatantly racist here like I do on XformerlyknownasTwitter. That’s just false equivalency.

L'algo de XformerlyknownasTwitter est devenu horrible. Vraiment. Je crois que ça affecte mon moral.

If and when they start to truly crack down on LGBTQIA+ streamers and driving them away, that will be cause for alarm and the time for a mass exodus, just like we have for Xformerlyknownastwitter.

But the time of crisis is not here yet.

I still maintain that Elmo is pissed at having been forced to commit to buying Xformerlyknownastwitter, and also pissed that transforming it into a personal shrine isn't panning out, so he's trying to sabotage it. The whole Nazi salute debacle? The latest example.
January 22, 2025 at 5:46 AM
The wheels are in motion. The last major Xodus brought much of the Vtuber community stuck on Xformerlyknownastwitter over, and every time Elmo does a Nazi salute or gets caught boosting in games only bolsters Bluesky's Vtuber community even more.

You would be surprised, and quite possibly dismayed, at how many communities and websites - not just Xformerlyknownastwitter - engage in dunking and spreading bullshit. Establishing "Block And Ignore" as Bsky's golden rule, even though it should be common sense at this point, has proven effective.
January 21, 2025 at 8:51 PM
(CW: hateful messages used as examples)

"Facebook becoming an official Nazi Bar before Xformerlyknownastwitter" was not on my 2025 bingo card, but we're only ten days into it and I'm tossing the damn bingo card in the garbage along with my FB account.

This, deadass. Elmo didn't stop getting laughed at after buying out Xformerlyknownastwitter, so he's now working to destroy the world.
"why did tech billionaires become fascists" basically it happened because they realised that they could collect all the money that ever existed and ppl would still laugh at them like they did in HS so they went full misanthrope, it's literally just little boys angry nobody likes them

Let's be real, here. If you really think Bsky is worse than Xformerlyknownastwitter, we all would benefit from you going back.

There is no forced algorithm here. Curate your feeds and block the trolls. Otherwise, you're using Bsky wrong and should just go back to the dead bird site.
The vibe on bsky has shifted quite a bit lately. I’ve seen posts saying things like, “this site is worse than twitter.”

It’s not the site—people are people everywhere. Anyone who’s been here long enough can tell you those habits can be kicked. But, it’s something we have to work on together.

Meanwhile, they continue to slum it on Xformerlyknownastwitter - a known echo chamber.
December 18, 2024 at 5:42 PM
This is a key reason why I remain. It's important to have an exit strategy, but the self-moderation tools put this heads and shoulders over Xformerlyknownastwitter.
ofc bsky should ban every rw troll & it's sad they're not

simultaneously true: bsky moderation is better than twitter's ever was

"bsky was fun while it lasted" doomsayers never once held twitter to the same standard

can we please for once not snatch defeat from the jaws of a conditional victory?
December 17, 2024 at 11:38 PM
DONT YOU GET IT? WE DONT WANT YOU HERE! TAKE THAT BULLSHIT BACK TO XFORMERLYKNOWNASTWITTER
December 7, 2024 at 11:23 PM
I don't ever see Bsky becoming anywhere near as enshittified as Xformerlyknownastwitter, but it's always good to have an exit strategy, should it be necessary.
December 6, 2024 at 8:05 PM
As much as I love Bsky, keep in mind: there may come a time when we will need to uproot and migrate to another socmed platform. We did it once for Xformerlyknownastwitter, we can do it again.
December 6, 2024 at 8:03 PM
Considering how Bluesky has brought back the social element of "social media", what should we call Xformerlyknownastwitter? 'Cause it hasn't been social in a long time.

I vote for calling it "anti-socual media".
December 3, 2024 at 6:00 PM
We need a variation of the guy shouting a group/guy in group gives shoutyman thumbs up meme, where Xformerlyknownastwitter is shouting I'M DYING, Bonni gives them a thumbs up, and in the last panel, replace Xformerlyknownastwitter with a headstone

4. Resignation

With their ability to get any kind of foothold on Bluesky removed, most go crawling back to Xformerlyknownastwitter, or another right-wing echo chamber. It is around this time that opinion pieces claiming Bluesky to be an echo chamber start to crop up on less reputable publications.
December 2, 2024 at 3:31 PM
2. Instigation

Because Bluesky is replete with marginalized people, they immediately start harassing their targets, seeing no other way to interact with anyone due to being conditioned by Xformerlyknownastwitter to be their worst self at all times.
December 2, 2024 at 3:28 PM
1. Migration:

With their ability to harass their favored victims on Xformerlyknownastwitter diminished in light of everyone leaving for Bluesky, they, too, migrate to Bluesky in the hopes of continuing their harassment.
December 2, 2024 at 3:27 PM
I've grown more as a streamer and artist on Bluesky than I ever did on Xformerlyknownastwitter.

My horizons have been expanded by magnitudes.

Take the money Elmo is paying you for these hit pieces and shove it up your ass.
Opinion - The problem with Bluesky: It won’t broaden our horizons: In the wake of Donald Trump’s election win, the social-media platform has enjoyed a surge of new users looking for an alternative to Elon Musk’s X. But will it be useful, if it just creates an echo chamber for the left?

1. I was invited to Bluesky from a friend, which was just as well since I had been banned from XformerlyknownasTwitter. XD

Oh, please, let him go to Germany and screw with them for awhile. I would be happy if he took XformerlyknownasTwitter with him. And all the Nazis. trump will need a new cabinet!
