I enjoyed seeing these two old men seated in the Mountain Gate at Yushan Xingfu Temple in Changshu, Jiangsu. It sits at the foot of Yushan, which is named for a rather shadowy figure known as Yu Zhong who lived in the Shang and Zhou Dynasties (c 1600-771 BCE); his tomb is found on the mountain.

It was reported on December 2, 2024 that at Tangshan No. 38 Middle School on Xingfu Road, Fengrun District, Tangshan City, Hebei Province, China, students gathered outside thugs to beat up their classmates. The campus guard room was close at hand, but no guards appeared!

So, that's how I smeared the canvas to end up with a purple teddy bear artwork. 🙂

A really rather fun box camera, the Eho Juwel, made in Germany in the 1930s. Although the Juwel is somewhat obscure in the West, the design was revived in China in the 1950s by the Tianjin Camera Company, as the "Happiness" or "Xingfu" camera, the first mass-produced camera of modern China.
