something to remember for ffxivwrite, we (me) will not get hung up on xivlore to the point where it kills the writing process. we're just gonna write & worry about it later. okay? 🤝

Next up: the captain’s first mate & partner, M’idara Telren!

M’idara was born & raised in Limsa, but left to be an adventurer after her mother died in Operation Archon. She joined the Crystal Braves, but defected when the bloody banquet took place. (1/2)

M’idara standing in front of the Revenant’s Toll aetheryte, holding her axe behind her. M’idara in Ishgard, neutrally side-eyeing the viewer. She’s wearing her old adventuring outfit. M’idara looking down at the viewer, dressed for the cold of the Fourth while on the unmoored isle.

okay so I’m just gonna go thru each of my main gang to start for loreposting

first off: the WoL himself, Demetrius!
He’s a pirate (mostly), a stickler for the cycle of life, and solidly a neutral good.
He’s originally from the game Sea of Thieves, and in my lore he even

Demetrius during the part of the Endwalker credits when the WoL’s name is shown. Demetrius in his DT outfit, standing in front of the Revenant’s Toll aetheryte. Demetrius in a potential early-Evercold glam, striking a pose together with Memoria Divina on the unmoored isle.

last up in the main EC lineup for Demetrius canon: Arya Calowise and Y’shtola Rhul!

Demetrius recruits Arya after 7.4, giving her the irresistible offer of honing her red mage skills and spending time in places besides Mor Dhona, as well as becoming her job mentor.

Arya striking a confident pose on the unmoored isle, holding her rapier in a casual manner. Y’shtola dressed for adventure on the Fourth, holding her staff confidently beside her. Y’shtola looks on curiously as Arya holds out her RDM focus somewhat smugly.

Third in the lineup: Johnny McFlintlock!

Johnny is an old friend of Demetrius from the latter’s pirate days. He makes his way to Eorzea out of curiosity for the whereabouts of his old friend, and finally catches up to him during 7.5. (1/2)

Johnny standing on a ship in Aleport, pointing a gun at something out of view while wearing a grim expression. okay more Demetrius lore time
The way I’ve written his summoner, rather than eikons, has him summon entities from memories written in his journal (which doubles as his SMN book). The most notable of these summons is Memoria Divina, taken from a memory of the primal Alexander.

#ffxiv #xivlore #gpose
Memoria Divina in its Arrhidaeus form, looking at the viewer with its hands clasped in front of it. Demetrius and Divina standing together on the unmoored isle, striking a combat-ready pose. Demetrius summoning Divina for the first time. Divina appears here in its full form, lit in green from the surrounding area.

EXCERPT FROM AB:

"You were making good money at the Saucer, you were the best on the tracks... So why did you give it up?"

"I was tired of it. I wanted to see the world, and not be held back by contracts. I wanted my voice heard."
