Mod Releases • [Mod] Y Axis [y_axis]
This mod makes depth of the world Configurable. This mod was made for Voxelibre but should work for Mineclonia too, though I haven't tested it extensively in Mineclonia. You can go to Luanti setting GUI and change the config values for this mod to set max world depth, ores generation offset, deepslate starting layer and strongholds heights. Caution: Use this mod only with new worlds! Source Code LInk: https://gitlab.com/ivyqube/y_axis ContentDB Link: https://content.luanti.org/packages/ivyqube/y_axis/ The code is licensed GPL3.0. Most of the work is derived from Voxelibre itself and is attributed in the LICENSE file. The mod need Voxelibre/Mineclonia game and the following builtin mods: mcl_init, mcl_strongholds, mcl_mapgen_core **Technical Details** The mod works by modifying mcl_vars which control the world height and other variables. Due to the way dependency works in Luanti, Voxelibre code is run first and then mine. Fortunately mcl_vars is global so my mod changes it AFTER Voxelibre code is run AND because terrain generation code is run with callbacks at runtime, the modified value are used during terrain generation which makes this mod possible. This is a very hacky way of doing it but I coudn't really think of a more simpler approach. this ofcourse comes with the downside of having no reliable forward compatibility (Any changes in future Voxelibre's use of mcl_vars in a different way risks breaking the mod) Statistics: Posted by ivyqube — Sat Aug 30, 2025 11:09 * * *
