Conservative dorks in Yamhill County LOVE to scream about Metro coming in and turning us into Portland...meanwhile, I have more confidence crossing the street as a pedestrian in PDX Metro area, because YamCo assholes truly relish the idea of mowing down pedestrians and cyclists.

I have my reservations. Lot of end vote by mail signs when they were collecting signatures. And the leader of the no tax Oregon movement represents much of YamCo.

Any attempt by Trimet to enter Yamhill county is going to be met with huge opposition from YamCo residents. A big slogan from a campaign for county commissioners was keeping Metro out of Yamhill County.

I’m curious as to what you mean as lobotomy conservatism as someone who used to work in that county? I know that one former county commissioner was screaming up and down that Metro was gonna expand to YamCo.
