I have not attended the Sayolara seminar in general but my personal cross is seeing people mention not Lycoreco, not GWitch, but Yorukura around it because oh geez what a definitive "what are you doing looking where this anime wants you to be looking" 7/10

Does Gwitch also gall into the "also had the good sense to let their characters be together" category I mentioned yesterday? yes. but unlike say yorukura it's actually really broadly well liked so.

I admire the rage baiting spirit, but the fundamental issue with that post that makes it fail is that both lycoryco and yorukura had the good sense to end with the characters being together.

Whether it's Zombie Land Saga or Granbelm or WfM or Revue Starlight or Symphogear or even the ones that didn't stick the landing like Wonder Egg or Darling In The Franxx or YoruKura, watching shows week to week while no one has the full puzzle completed is magical

Yorukura I think is probably the best example of what I'd call yuribait. If there's a kiss between characters that's treated in a serious way in the moment but then isn't properly followed up on and addressed then it's just dogshit writing. And that shit genuinely felt like my personal 9/11

i remember watching the Yorukura kiss and thinking that you’d have to be a FUCKING IDIOT to think that the relationship wasn’t going somewhere romantic. but here we are. sometimes things go ways we don’t expect.

i never finished yorukura bc i was so mad about it. i was like, “I’ll wait and find out if it’s gay before i finish it!” and here we are.
shoutout to the transmasc character but the show wasn’t doing enough for me without the lesbian sauce.

Lets do YoruKura, the main character, Yuru, voiced by Luci Christian in dub (I have watched a few episodes in dub this just because I like the show), much bigger spread, more main roles in popular shows, BUT, the type of show is vastly different, which is really important

finally finished watching Yorukura after kind of putting the ending off. didn't entirely stick the landing but I'm sad it took me so long to get Kiui's best scene yet. where can I find all the fanfics for this show now

I wish YoruKura had more episodes and more time, the second half of the anime felt really rushed and it felt like they were doing way too much for a 13 episode anime (and executing it kinda sloppily)
