I was a youngen so not as clear of a memory but sounds right.
And there were actual scares - double dip in 2011, I know 2014-2015 was sideways, Brexit, 2018 obviously.
Then, after 2020... and certainly coming out of 2022, which felt bad but immediately became a distant memory, everyone realized

Writing EVERYDAY burns me out. I learned that as a youngen. It's better to let the thoughts accumulate in my head and go back to it when I'm ready.

There's a Japanese word "yūgen" and the Dutch "jougen"(pronounced like youngen). My brain defaulted to the English "young". Until I remembered what country I'm currently in.

I hated this when I was a youngen. My Mom did not help. She used to say “you cannot afford to gain one pound, because you are built real close”. Like thanks Mom, who had the skinniest legs ever. And hand wave 👋🏽 other things were at play.

Youngen! My first game was pre-console: Pong. Second was also pre-console, Atari Stunt Bike. Then it was the Atari 2600: Air Sea Battle (Sears version: Target Fun).

No, thankfully... she's 12 yrs old but acts like a youngen' 😁 In fact when I first had a visit with her I thought she was 4 yrs old and was shocked that she was 11 😮 She's also hyperthyroid but is fine with regular meds.

When I was a youngen in the early 90s, my grandparents had a squeaky dog toy of Pauline Hanson's head and everyone would pick it up, squeak it and say "please explain!" So when I see people seriously supporting One Nation, I think of those moments and laugh.

Cute story: Pumpkin and I had a collision that broke or dislocated my toe. So I'm using a cane for a few days (cue wife calling me an old man, "bang it on the table in class!").
Youngen (just 5) saw my cane fall over in the first position. He said: "If I had a cane I would put it this way". Genius.

Less than 2% of my interest in ACFC has to do with them winning (though it is fun if they do). Seeing another quality youngen leave is annoying though. At any rate, next home match on July 3rd. Let's see who's on the team by then😂😂😂
