By coincidence my destination was King Charles’s guest house in Zalanpatak. He first spent time in the area in 1998 and it became his annual retreat.
Stay there as a tourist (I didn’t tell the palace I was going), and you’ll find beautiful but basic lodgings, no onsite manager and solitude
