vinny vinesauce apparently did a weird dark rides stream featuring chessington's 5th Dimension and I'm a little scared to watch for fear of him insulting my special interest(s) but I hope exposing a large audience to 5th Dimension means Zappomatic will find more fans. he deserves it

After introducing @bunnywars.bsky.social to The 5th Dimension at Chessington, it ignited a creative spark in me i'd been needing. So, i've been working on a drawing of everyone's favorite anti-virus/tv-repair robot Zappomatic! I'll try to post updates as the sketch comes along! #art #illustration
A work-in-progress sketch of the character Zappomatic-552 from the defunct theme park attraction "The 5th Dimension." On the left is an image of the character's animatronic figure as seen in the ride, and on the right is the partially completed sketch of him.

I have been introduced to the 1987 dark ride The 5th Dimension from Chessington World of Adventures and Zappomatic is absolute babygirl. I am stunned

Anyone remember the 5th Dimension ride from Chessington World of Adventures in the early 90s? I'm thinking about Zappomatic and how he's a weird creepy robot proto-Raz from Psychonauts
