The whole thing breathes such love for Gamera’s history, Showa era especially in how children view him as a savior of the flawed world adults perpetrate. It’s a shared effort at the end of the day - they save him, too. Zedus is a nasty son of a bitch; menacingly feral and fresh in his design.

I haven’t rewatched Gamera the Brave (2006) in SO long. Really so underrated and so humbly special, somehow stitching Kaneko and Higuchi’s standard of immersive effects and apocalyptic monster brutality into a timely reinvention of the Showa series’ child choirs and kid heroes.

I unfortunately think Kadokawa is probably making them use Rebirth monsters
But I think if the DLC is a big success then we could see a DLC Pack with monsters like Iris, Legion, Barugon and Zedus
