Ophelia - Zeigfeld Boudoir
Trying our hand at some vintage Ziegfeld Follies inspired looks. Was on a retro kick for quite some time.

JK: Three Musketeers - non-stop swordplay, daring stunts, and endless yearning
YG: Zeigfeld Follies - consumed by a passive-aggressive homoerotic rivalry that extends into the afterlife
JM: An American In Paris - worth making an entire movie to support his 20 minute whimsical ballet

Did Jimmy Stewart have to take off his clothes and be photographed to get his start?
What else did the "Zeigfeld girls" have to do to get into showbiz?

But I AM getting back to drawing on a daily basis, because life is short and I should do more art. Will hopefully return to painting by end of the year.

Happy birthday to Luise Rainer, who gave an excellent performance as Anna Held in The Great Zeigfeld, which should be tonight's watch!

What wonders will you discover with her inside New York’s hottest hotel? How about a hall of mirrors that can instantly change anything about your appearance. Mabel Rose Dixon would do anything to be a Zeigfeld girl and the hotel grants her wish. At a price. 🩸

Who is this skinny lady dancing in clogs? One of my heroes.
Mona Louise Parsons was born in Nova Scotia, but eventually ended up as one of the Zeigfeld girls in New York’s Zeigfeld Follies.
Not really what she expected from a career on theatre, she became a nurse before marrying a millionaire.

if at all possible i recommend seeing this film in a nearly empty zeigfeld-class theater and then after it’s over walk out to a closed off downtown with fake snow on the ground, kids running everywhere, a Christmas parade you had no idea about just twenty minutes from starting

The #1 movie when you were 10 years old is how your 2026 is going to go.
I'll finally get that role in the Zeigfeld Follies that I've always dreamed of.
