We current and former female moderators for Twitch streamer ZeldaGifWorld @zelda discovered last weekend that Gif has uncomfortably, inappropriately, and/or explicitly messaged nearly every single one of us. Our statement is below.

I can corroborate this type of behavior from ZeldaGifWorld (Dave). He hid his marriage from me, and from 2020-2022 he was inappropriately involved with me. He's a master manipulator and perverted sex addict. There were women before me and clearly women after me. Maybe it's time to share my story.

I experienced this type of behavior from ZeldaGifWorld on and off from 2020-2023.
He’s a liar. A manipulator. He would often imply how thankful I should be for his attention. He uses people to feed his ego, or grow his following, and when he’s done, casts you aside. (1/2)

Never put people up on pedestals, because they will pretty much always find a way to fall the hell off of it. Disappointing and disheartening behavior from ZeldaGifWorld.

What in the actual fuck!? That's disgusting behavior, and ZeldaGifWorld deserves to be held accountable for his actions. My heart goes out to everyone that had to deal with this awful behavior.

ZeldaGifWorld had already disappeared by the time I saw the allegations he was a creep.
He needs to be held accountable.

So having seen another case (zeldagifworld) of a man taking advantage of women who trust them, I think it's a good time to say something I've thought for awhile. This is by no means a panacea but I think as men we really need to work harder on making safe spaces for women and non male members.

I remember how ZeldaGifWorld got heat several years ago for stealing tweets from other folks and sexualizing minor characters from the Zelda series. It doesn’t surprise me that they’re a weirdo.

Seeing the shit coming forward about ZeldagifWorld honestly does not shock me. I used to talk to him years ago before ZeldagifWorld was created and he honestly gave me really weird vibes. I hope everyone can heal from this. This is just terrible.

Unbelievable... Well, I guess it's not so hard to believe that a Twitch streamer turned out to be a creep this whole time, but still, God damn. Seriously hope everyone involved moves past this shit and lock ZeldaGIFWorld out of their lives permanently.

So I know a lot of people came out a few days ago of how ZeldaGifWorld became a lying & manipulating pervert. So I decided to share my friend Lucy's story who is like a sister to me. The fact that she wasn't allowed to do any of these things because of him is wild and crazy! Plus lying about his age

I’d known of ZeldaGifWorld since following him on Twitter so it’s honestly a shock now to find out he was such a creep.

![We are a collective majority of ZeldaGifWorld's female mod team; former and present. Our intention is to keep our experiences anonymous. These are not just recent occurrences. For some of us this began over 9 months ago.
Last weekend we discovered that most of us have had interactions with ZeldaGifWorld (Gif) that range from uncomfortable to inappropriate given his position as the figurehead of the community.
For some of us it was pretty tame. For others it was significantly more intense and explicit. The behavior was met favorably by some, and unwelcome by others.
Gif often sent suggestive messages, usually presented as jokes. Some of us called him out for behaving inappropriately. We were generally met with apologies and denials of flirtatious intention, often followed by minimal/curt interaction from him for a time. We think this was either a punishment or Gif backpedaling in shame from rejection. Given what we've found out, we now believe he fully intended what he said.
As the head of the ZeldaGifWorld community, Gif singled us out and led many of us to believe that we were special to him. More special than anyone else in the community. After sharing our experiences we noticed the same motifs; flattering language, sharing secrets, exchanging private IRL information, special attention, and favoritism. His treatment would ultimately convine us that we were the most important person in the community and that he couldn't do it without us. Unfortunately we naively ate that shit up.
Gif seems to have hopped from one mod to the next...some of us even overlapping. All while under the guise that we were "his special mod".
Some of us have engaged in what we thought was an intimate connection with the potential to turn into a meaningful romantic relationship.
