Zhongjianosaurus yangi adult nourishes his little hidden in their nest, at the top of a tree. This is my coverage for my book project on the Yixian formation.

My biggest illustration ever !

The small dinosaur Zhongjianosaurus observes its surroundings.
It can see two Moganopterus fighting, Caudipteryx wandering about, and a Sinornithosaurus stalking its prey.

Zhongjianosaurus yangi parents leave their nest, leaving their young to fend for themselves. Digital Painting.

New art is arrived !

A large Yutyrannus is being cleaned up by a group of Hongshanornis. A curious Gegepterus approaches.
In the foreground, a Zhongjianosaurus seems interested in the small birds.

Microraptorians were among the most interesting dromeosaurs. Most were small, but some like Changyuraptor got to roughly turkey sized, which is not small at all for an animal that was likely gliding/flying

I finally finished the heads of the 11 main animals of my Yixian book project. Later I will post drawings of animals with or without decoration (1/3)

Hello, this is my first post on BlueSky.
Welcome to Zhongjianosaurus's head in color pencils and black markers, from my Yixian Project Book.
It's a little Microraptora with very long legs.

Zhongjianosaurus had disco pants before they were cool.

Oh shit, I completely forgot to mention it:
This illustration is a remake of something I did with colored pencils (with a touch of watercolor) at the beginning of the year

To my knowledge, every single dromeasaurid has feathers, you have an entire family of dinosaurs that are guaranteed to be fluffy, from the big like Utahraptor to the tiny like Zhongjianosaurus. Hell if you want a flufy tyrannosaurid go to Yutyranus, but T-rex shall remain scaley.
