I just finished reading the first arc of FML by @kellysue.bsky.social, @davidlopez.me, Cris Peter &
@claytoncowles.bsky.social. God I love this comic. Had to draw some fan art!

Mmm, love those yellowed zipatone cutouts.
We are still busy installing our next exhibition, "Peanuts Paperbacks," at the Schulz Museum, opening this weekend and running into September!

Detail, original art for Peanuts by Charles M. Schulz, originally published June 20, 1991.

I’m proud to note that the bootleg zipatone I made on a photocopier at Kinkos was still on the paper securely and hasn’t yellowed one bit in 28 years!

There's a generation of furs (mine) for whom Terrie Smith's art is pure, liquid eroticism (also, a little zipatone instantly classes up any comic).

Made it to the Klaus Janson exhibit at the Philippe Labaune Gallery today. So fun seeing his original art in person. For me the highlight was seeing several of his Daredevil pages.

1974 Zipatone Catalog — The Peculiar Manicule
Cover and swatches from a 1974 Zipatone catalog. Shading films were not unique to Zipatone, but as the leaders in the field, their catchy name has become synonymous with these types of pressure-sensit...

Years ago I was mad keen on 16:9 ratio paper for sketch a day stories. Not really ideal for printing, also was using a lot of zipatone but who would do that now in this economy.

I found an old page from the Road to Perdition sequel I illustrated. Rough guys in a work gang passing their escape plans down the line. Brush, ink, goauche, and hand-cut zipatone. It may still be up for sale in my studio’s etsy shop!

I’m all set up at Granite State Comic Con and now I’m saying goodbye to a page of original art from Whiteout. Carrie Stetko doing the job at McMurdo base in Antarctica! Written by @gregrucka.com, drawn and hand lettered by me a million years ago.

SUAREZ (1985) page by Maestro GUSTAVO TRIGO, everyone! Look at those inks and use of zipatone.

I live traced some Zipatone in Illustrator and made my own swatches so that comic I'm attempting to make look a little more hand-drawn looks, well, a little more hand-drawn.

Brush, ink, Zipatone.

Drawn for a gaming book/client (Palladium Books?) back in the 1980s, damned if I can recall who or what this morning. Someone out there knows!

Just found the original art to my first-ever published comic, ABYSS #1 (1976). Astonished to find it's held up (drawn with finepoint and broad markers on typing paper/photocopy paper); paper still white, linework hasn't bled, zipatone and pasteups intact. Incredible.

If there was ever a media property suited to be spun off as a mid-century comic, It's Mad Men. It'd be a blast to draw those characters in my best pastiche of Stan Drake or Leonard Starr.

After reading Giffen's 5YL Legion for the first time, I started to go back to the beginning of LOSH. Currently, I'm in the midst of EarthWar, by Levitz and James Sherman (and Joe Staton). I hadn't heard of Sherman until recently, and wow, was I missing out. The zipatone master!
