From my Ghost ABCs series (2019).
Originating in Haitian slave culture and folklore, the zonbi is a human cadaver reanimated by a vodou priest or priestess. The zonbi then became a servant to the necromancer, making slavery inescapable - even in death.

Ayumu Aikawa of "Is This a Zombie / Kore wa Zonbi Desu ka?" plays this pretty straight. He's explicitly cismale and masculine but accidentally steals/absorbs a magical girl's powers and so he has to fight monsters in her stead for awhile... but the powers come WITH the transformation and outfit.
