The garden is starting to produce. Raspberries and Saskatoons on Friday, carrots, beets, onions, swish chard and potatoes today. Kholirabi, tomatoes, cucumber and ground cherries next week. I love this time of year. #gardening #zone3b #GrowWhatYouEat

My perennial garden is going nuts this year. Years of not cleaning it up, putting down leaves and mulch is really paying off. #gardening #zone3b

I’ve never seen a variegated onion before. I grew them from seed and this is the only one like this. #Gardening #zone3b

I overwintered this dragon wing begonia and this geranium. They both have finally started to bloom, just in time to bring them inside for the winter. 🤷🏼‍♀️ #gardening #zone3b

Harvested as proxy 2 ice cream pails of valiant grapes today. I’ll freeze them for now, then decide what to do with them later. #gardening #zone3b

Something has been snacking on the strawberries 🍓 and I’m ok with that. I picked an ice cream pail full and only found 3 that were nibbled on. They are so big and sweet this year, I don’t blame them. #gardening #zone3b

If you can only grow one vegetable, pound for pound bush beans are the best value. The more you pick the more they grow. A couple plants in a pot on your balcony and you’re golden. #gardening #zone3b

If you want to invite pollinators into your yard plant Eryngium (Sea Holly). I counted 5 different bees/wasps on my plant this morning, but i could only capture 3 #Gardening #zone3b

Found some red shallots in the cupboard that had started to sprout, so I planted them. With the snow outside it will be nice to have some fresh green onions to add to salads and such. #gardening #zone3b
