As Yom Kippur came to a close this evening, I was privileged to join my friend, Ruth Messinger, at a break fast in her home.
It was an honor to celebrate this moment of renewal with many of our Jewish neighbors. May it be a year of justice, joy and peace.

We do not ask to simply be alive for another year, in this prayer, we ask to enter our names in the Book of Lives Well Lived. Renew us for a year of goodness. Avinu Malkeinu - Almighty and Merciful - answer us with grace, for our deeds are wanting. Save us through acts of justice and love... 7/x
In other words: if we all treat our neighbors as we would treat ourselves, then none of us will need mercy, the hungry would be fed, the innocent would not suffer. G-d is a reflection of us... 6/x

For those neighbors, those innocent who suffer, we cannot just lay that on G-d's feet, whether they live down the block or around the world, these two seemingly juxtaposed concepts are actually the same, our repentance for ourselves and our anger at the injustice to others... 4/x
G-d is both there just for us, our intimate guardian who we ask to accept our human frailty with love & forgiveness AND also there for all of us, the sovereign who we must work with to bring out the best in all of us, helping us rise up together to build a world of shalom, justice for all... 3/x
At the same time we demand of G-d action for injustice others suffered at no fault of their own (reflect outward to our neighbors, the innocent, who suffer from iniquity, pestilence, war, famine, captivity, destruction, religious persecution). Avinu Malkeinu means our "parent" our "sovereign"... 2/x

I do all of my banking online, haven not visited a branch in at least a decade, but when the bank has something really, really important to tell me: they mail a letter to my home without alerting me online in any way.

Just like with the ballroom, another scam by Trump to turn this into a “military complex” to prevent the courts from intervening by using “national security” as his excuse for vanity projects.
Trump saying we urgently need well stocked sniper nests overlooking the nation’s main location for political protest should ring alarm bells.

Everyone in world knows (1) Don Jr. will not pay back the Russian oligarch (2) It is actually insane that the Russian oligarch paid for Don Jr.’s wedding. But reality would not stop NYT from printing Trump’s propaganda.
“Trump says …” A full-grown adult whose full-time job it is to cover politics wrote this absurd piece of Republican propaganda for the NYT.
Katie Miller, who is a co-conspirator in actions Elon Musk took that will kill millions, RTs interview of Maggie Haberman describing that everyone is counting on pardons, whining that "her family" had to pay for lawyers. (There is abundant evidence Trump paid for it & ALSO laundered $$ to Stephen).
We cannot let them pardon themselves out of crimes against humanity.
