Oh wow. Even the fascists know what’s up. Some corporate Dems still don’t get it.

It’s infuriating that they so often make the choices that are both morally & strategically bankrupt.

#HispanicHeritageMonth: Sylvia Mendez, retired nurse and civil rights pioneer. When she was eight, she was barred from a “whites” only school and ordered to a “Mexican school” next to a cow pasture. Her parents sued. That lawsuit helped bring about the end of school segregation in California.

Wisconsin’s Democratic elites are living on the coasts fundraising this fall & bending over backwards to get corporate cash, all because they think money wins elections. It doesn’t.

NEWS: The Pentagon has announced mandatory low-testosterone screenings for male troops 30 and older, including screening for symptoms such as “reduced libido, loss of spontaneous morning erections, erectile dysfunction,” and other symptoms.

My figures guy has sadly left this mortal coil.

Beyond that, mortgage rates are almost double what they were 10 years ago.

The estimated purchase price on the house we rent is up 84% in the past 10 years. Wage increases come nowhere near matching that.

The year over year inflation rate matters far less than whether people can afford the raw costs for the basics of a decent life.

Works better when all the words make it from my brain onto the screen.

Who will show more commitment to, and solidarity in support of, First Amendment values: members of the White House Correspondents Association, or opening acts for Ed Sheeran?
President Donald Trump, in a clear violation of the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution, says he is banning MSNOW, CNN and Politico from the White House.

And ex-Confederates are most of the D-->R switchers in the 21st century too. Truly stunning. I knew about the pattern but hadn't seen the list of all them like this.

I should include the 80s & 90s on there too, because it was a long transition.

In each of those decades, a big majority of the D-->R switchers were from ex-Confederate states.

I'd add Strom Thurmond. And a whole raft of Southern Dem --> Rep switchers in the 1960s & 70s. That *was* a reaction to what national Dems did, which was just enforcing the constitution's equal treatments & voting rights provisions.

This episode is not just embarrassing for the military -- it shows for the millionth time the self-destructive insanity of leaders in every institution on earth pumping out pro-AI propaganda, from business to edu to news to government to unions. AI has no place being trusted for anything important.

Lock them, & shut it all down.
The files from New York Times v OpenAI are insane. I'm no big city lawyer but seems like it's a bunch of open bragging about theft?

This article is really burying the lede which is not that the AI did anything surprising but that rotten culture and bad operational habits get accelerated at machine speed.

Locking people up for using drugs will never make sense to me. The people I've known who've used drugs, in spite of the threat of severe consequences, did so bc they are not/were not okay. Locking people in dungeons traumatizes them further and makes these patterns even harder to break.

The largest group seems to be those invested in rights-forward issues (Voting rights, reproductive rights, gun violence, LGBTQ+), which is consistent with public understandings of the @democrats.org But the one doing "kitchen-table" politics is completely disinterested in issues around rights.

Good amendment.

I guess that implies too much intention. The purpose is to get an audience to make the business or org financially well-off. Obscuring is part of how they do that.

The purpose of mainstream political news is to obscure what is clear.

A lot of it really is "are there too many non-white Democrats??"
New analysis: Expert handicappers like the Cook Political Report are probably underestimating Democratic odds of winning the House by about 30 points. That's based on an analysis of their historical ratings, not polls or other models.

The race raters are lowballing the Democrats
Based on my analysis of their historical ratings, Cook, Inside Elections and Sabato’s Crystal Ball are probably underestimating Democrats' House win probability by about 30 percentage points
