You can see the UK’s comparable access to higher education nosedive from #2 to #3 after fees tripled. But the talk of ‘too many young people go to university’ is deeply and exclusively classed. ‘Too many at Uni’ = ‘too many of other people’s children are at Uni’.

I’m sympathetic. In the past I wrote courses enabling students to learn/gain credits from work experience. It’s surprisingly broadly applicable. One of the best studies I saw was on aggression towards fast food workers. Alas, it was thankless. Now ‘work experience’ is a managerial imperative.

It’s time for a zero tolerance crack down on far right thugs. They’re costing the taxpayer, soaking up police resources, intimidating peaceful communities & delaying the measures that are reducing the asylum backlog & its cost. Enough is enough. End the menace.
