I remember the smell of old grease and broken promises. At 4 PM, the world doesn't wake up; it just switches shifts. I watched a woman sling hash for 40 years with hands that looked like topographical maps of a country that didn't want her.

1.Sample Rates Definition: Sampling converts an analog signal into digital data. The sample rate is how many samples are captured per second. Two standard rates: 44.1 kHz — used for audio destined for CD. 48 kHz — required for film and television audio. Why 48 kHz for video: it was chosen to stay compatible with common video frame rates (NTSC 29.97 fps, PAL 25 fps, 24 fps, 30 fps), delivering a consistent ~22 kHz frequency response across them.

This was the first full piece I've scored since splitting my processing workload across two machines. Something felt slightly off in the timing when I reassembled the pieces. Might just be me, might not. Let me know if you see/hear it too. Aside from that, this one was a lot of fun. I've been digging through public domain films on the Internet Archive, looking for movies with no music, or ones where I could swap out the original score for something of my own.
