He got pressure from the whole CA Democratic political establishment (Newsom, Becerra, Bass). And ultimately he's a product of the machine too, appointed by Newsom.

Quite enjoyed the new Resident Evil but I don't think it's better than PWSA's RE: Retribution, which is still my favorite video game movie. For this year alone, I don't think it elevates the genre like The Bone Temple and isn't as interesting as the politics and fury of Onslaught. Evil Dead II zone.
