A Sitochroa palealis moth, commonly known as the carrot seed moth, resting on a pink water mint flower. Here in Italy, this moth flies from June to September/October. (I hope I’ve identified them correctly; after taking part in a survey of butterflies and day-flying moths, I’ve realised just how difficult it is to tell them apart).
