In 1942 she was deported to #Auschwitz with her mother Lena and siblings Jeanette & John. All were probably murdered together in a gas chamber.

I don't think refs and VAR get enough credit for their running commentaries. I used to 'commentate' in the stand for a blind girl, and it is really hard work. Plus, you are so busy with the factuals that it leaves you little room for bias!

The russian army targeted them on August 1, burning 8M books, incl school textbooks — just weeks before the start of a new school year.
