Dinner tonight is Coco Pops in ice cold milk, sat in the garden, as the sun sets on a roasting day. Had all three meals outside today, including a lovely BBQ late lunch. I think this is the sort of day my DNA is optimised for 😇☀️😎

Leeds - London (Palace of Westminster, enough steps to almost hit a half marathon)- Bristol- London-back en route to Leeds. Knackered. Thank the Lord the Lizzie line was working this afternoon otherwise I’d probably have hit another half marathon in steps!

Safely completed an epic road trip from Leeds to Modena for the Enzo Ferrari half marathon on Sunday. 1000 miles in 31ish hours. The views around Mont Blanc and the other side of the border in Italy were stunning. Driving an Italian sports car in Italy is an epic experience 🤩🥰😍

And that’s the last suhoor of the month done.Been an interesting Ramadan this year.The tiredness has been on another level-it’s not helped that the entire house has been struck down by the lurgy these past few days.Still I’ll miss the quiet solitude of 4am, and the discipline we’ve all exercised…

Speeding back up north after my last module on @thekingsfund.bsky.social advanced OD practitioner programme. Phenomenal 6 month learning experience. Looking forward to putting my learning into practice, or at least trying to… given the amount of change in the air- should make things interesting!

Starting the week with 10k to continue preparation for the Enzo Ferrari Memorial Half marathon in Italy at the end of March. Managed my fastest 5k for a long time as well, despite the temperature being a tropical 2 degrees in Leeds today 🥶🏃🏽♂️🤌🏽

I wasn’t quite old enough to experience the Stone Roses in their pomp. Oasis were my coming of age band, but the Roses greatest hits album I played so much I wore it out. Gutted I never got to see them live. RIP Mani

Gary “Mani” Mounfield, best known as a founding member and bassist of the Stone Roses, has died aged 63. The cause of death has not been shared.

Sat in the motherland but brain still processing NHS news. Things are v bleak at the moment-yesterday’s “briefing” did little to lift the gloom.
Still there’s a few more days of chai, gorgeous sunsets and time with the extended family to enjoy before we shift to the UAE for week 2! #WeekendMubarak
