i am passing a law to ban all level design that's like ok we have the obvious way and then dead ends with like 1% upgrade materials. couldnt give any more than that because the game is 50 hours long. but you do have to go down all of them

Bike lanes are not a reward for good cyclist behavior! They are infrastructure proven to make cities safer for ALL ROAD USERS. Whatever way cyclists have wronged you is irrelevant to the discussion!

I don't see how this gets better without shifting to co-op owned studios or strong unionization, it's obscene
Despite its success, Electronic Arts rewarded some of those who made Battlefield 6 by laying them off. It's a different story for EA CEO Andrew Wilson.

Saying we should all go back to physical media I think misses the point. I actually *like* buying games and movies digitally for a bunch of reasons. What we need is better consumer protections so the things we do buy digitally are actually owned and companies cant delete/revoke access!

i think generally you shouldn't let other people decide whether or not you make art.
they might influence how, or what resources you have to work with, but whether or not you're going to try at all should be an internal decision.

I had people telling me "don't try to get into game narrative" when I was a jr and times in the industry were GOOD. Trust me, I understand feeling angry with the industry but telling people this kind of thing is both deeply unhelpful and makes you seem sus.

complicated feelings on this because the industry (tbh all industry) is in the Worst Place and finding work and/or money can feel impossible
but even inside that: if someone is telling you to get out of games because there's "no future" here as anything beyond a dark joke, i'd raise an eyebrow
