Great news for rail continues: @amtrak.com and @wisdot.bsky.social plan to extend two daily Hiawatha trains to Madison! The Hiawatha route currently terminates in Milwaukee.
Positive news from Amtrak: A Request for Suppliers was issued for replacement of the long-distance fleet serving 14 routes including the Empire Builder. Most of the 800 cars in operation today are nearly 50 years old.
