"It’s regrettable that the states did not put the design and service out to bid by private (i.e., non-Amtrak) providers, who might have offered better ideas and services for less than Amtrak’s monopoly-minded pricing." WHAT providers? Lol! I feel bad for AAMN because he's not a helpful voice!

Yep, as far as I am aware, that’s all it is. It is hard. Honestly, what I do in add to reading bills is watch the posts and emails from the orgs who know the most—AAMN, the NLX coalition, and MoveMN. If they aren’t trumpeting new $, we didn’t get new $. MoveMN’s session end summary was v helpful!

Also, Empire Builder ridership is up, meaning that there is likely "little to no cannibalization of EB ridership," according to AAMN! Given the EB's slowish ridership recovery, if the Borealis was taking numerous riders who'd otherwise use the EB, we'd probably be seeing it in the numbers.
