I cannot imagine in 2026, with the full breadth of the internet available to you, choosing to move your newsletter to substack. There are so many other platforms out there that don't directly put money in the pockets of fascists.

Idea: Maybe we shouldn't be treating 7th grade girls volleyball like the Thunderdome? It's not just bad for the parents (who hate each other due to playing time) and culture (watch ESPN for ten seconds), it burns out the kids and makes them worse adults AND athletes. Sports are supposed to be fun!
