📢 New guide: how EU Member States can turn the #CSDDD into strong national law. It's not the directive we fought for, but it's a legal tool worth fighting with - if gaps are closed & aligned with international standards.

Every government has a duty to protect its citizens. But in some parts of the world, that very institution is violating their human rights.

4 years ago, the UN Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) published its assessment of human rights concerns in the Uyghur Region.

On World Day Against Trafficking in Persons, we are highlighting a growing phenomenon: the trafficking of people into scam centres.

Traffickers often exploit vulnerabilities like poverty, displacement, or a lack of safe work opportunities to recruit and trap people in scam centres.

Technology is reshaping exploitation.

In April, we collaborated with Civic Studios on the microseries 'Scam City' to shed light on the lives of people who are trafficked into scam compounds and forced to commit cyberfraud.

The 2026 World Cup is nearly over, but modern slavery isn't.

Nearly 50 million people are still in modern slavery today. Some are the people behind the matches. Many are trying to support their families, only to be deceived & trapped in modern slavery in host countries.

That’s a red card 🟥
