Just watched The Odyssey with my son. I avoided most of the reviews. Nobody on social media (in my circles at least) mentioned how loud it was. Was it my cinema? Was it the IMAX? I've been to quieter punk and metal gigs!

For this week's #HomeMadeMusic, I've never even tenuously written a song about the weather, so I'll cheat and share this ultra-lo-fi Japanese language cover of Brian Eno (and Cluster)'s By This River — which I always read as a couple sheltering from the rain under a tree.

Just been having fun playing with my voice looper and its scatter effects with my voice and also with percussion. I think I might have a proper session of recording and make stuff to accompany my live show I am planning.

Just watched Fargo. It is the 2nd worst Coen Brothers film, beaten only by Burn After Reading. Was it the hype? Dunno. Beautifully shot, generally stupid dialogue and stupid acting bar Buscemi. I cannot understand why people raved about it.

Any of my #Modular friends use the Noise Engineering "platform" modules? I've got all three --Versio, Legio, Alia -- but I've only tried one alt firmware (flashed Tymp Legio to Virt Iter). Well, it's time to try out the rest! What are some interesting/useful firmware/combos to try first?
