This graphic by California Nurses Association exposes the lies of neoliberal Democrats who have repeatedly refused to advance CalCare as a policy framework bill. This also applies to Healthy California Now's spearheading of "unified financing" cover for insurers via SB 770. @hc4us.bsky.social

Giving an external committee power to veto research funding because it doesn’t align to a political agenda will not only harm science, it is a threat to democracy.

Private insurer networks don’t want to hurt their profit margins by updating their private network provider lists.

This is the least the anti-single-payer Democratic Party supermajority can do.

When 3M scientist Kris Hansen discovered that a chemical the company produced was in the blood of the general public, her bosses questioned her work.

Yet all along, some people inside the company had known the same thing.

The Democrat trifecta supermajority in CA consistently opposes single-payer healthcare reform, so the least they can do is pass legislation that makes for-profit insurance companies update their private network provider lists, right?

Childcare is a healthcare issue.
Home-based providers are the backbone of our child care system. Universal child care would not be possible without them. They should not have to shoulder emergencies on their own.
Mamdani launches emergency grants for home-based childcare providers
The micro-grants will range from $1,000-$10,000.

After Emily Waldorf was denied care for a life-threatening miscarriage, her mother and stepfather, who considered themselves “pro-life,” were outraged:

“If I took my dog to a vet and it had this problem, that dog would get better treatment.”

She Faced a Life-Threatening Miscarriage. Under Arkansas’ Abortion Ban, Even Calls to the Governor’s Office Didn’t Help.
Her case shows how abortion bans have left hospital lawyers, not doctors, deciding who gets care — and how lawmakers and regulators have failed to change that.

The Dr. Abdul El-Sayed victory is a huge defeat for anti-single-payer Democrats and confirms that a platform grounded in “affordability” can win.

A massive defeat for pro-genocide AIPAC-funded Democrats.
