Easy to see why the AI companies had so many redactions (pink). Their own people wrote the lede for NYT, the "largest theft of labor in human history"... "more and more substitutive..." /1

Same with its use in any job. Anyone saying they’re getting huge savings from LLM output is really just offloading a significant amount of verification burden onto someone else. Either colleagues, or customers.
Tools allegedly used to reduce administrative burden for doctors (the evidence for which is pretty mixed) end up displacing the admin burden on to the patients who now need to read their charts in detail to check and correct the record.
So while you're thinking about a super human, super "intelligent" alien being killing you, here's what's really happening.

I consider myself incredibly lucky that I don’t appear to have caught COVID at any point, considering I lived in the US for a good chunk of it. (Not that COVID is over, but being in Australia makes things feel really different)
